It's probably the least disruptive way to respond to losing a key player and there is the option of Xhaka dropping into that left-back/LCB spot in build-up as he has done in the past. If Odegaard isn't fit then I suspect Smith Rowe at 10 and Willian, Pepe on the flanks

The need for Smith Rowe and Saka in the attack is so clear, same goes for Xhaka in midfield. It says a lot that Arsenal look so bereft of quality going forward when a 19 and 20-year-old don’t feature. The reliance on them is huge, as the upturn in form since Christmas has showed.
